# Unlink a channel from a monitor

`DELETE https://evohub.io/api/v1/monitors/{id}/channels/{chId}`

Part of the [Uptime API](https://docs-dev.evohub.io/uptime.md) reference · operationId `unlinkChannelFromMonitor`.

Stops sending the monitor's alerts to the channel. The channel itself
is kept.

Requires the `uptime:channel:write` scope.

## Authorization

Any one of:

- `bearerKey`
- `headerKey`

Where:

- `bearerKey`: HTTP Bearer — An EvoHub API key (`evohub_…`) as a bearer token.
- `headerKey`: API key in the header `X-API-Key` — An EvoHub API key (`evohub_…`).

## Path parameters

- `id` (string, required, example `mon_8c1d0b52-6f3e-4a7d-9b21-0e5c4f7a3d19`): The monitor's ID.
- `chId` (string, required, example `nch_6a9d2f4b-8c1e-4b3a-9f7d-5e0c2a8b4d16`): The notification channel's ID.

## Responses

### 204 — The channel is unlinked.

### 401 — No API key was sent, or it is unknown, revoked or expired (`UNAUTHORIZED`).

### 403 — The key lacks the scope this endpoint needs (`FORBIDDEN`).

### 404 — The monitor does not exist or is not visible to the caller (`MONITOR_NOT_FOUND`), or the channel is not linked to it (`CHANNEL_NOT_FOUND`).

### 429 — Too many requests (`RATE_LIMITED`). Wait for `Retry-After` seconds.
